Overview:
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Engineering & Analysis, Test & Evaluation, and Training.
Responsibilities:- Design, implementation, and verification of secure IT infrastructure and participation in planning, development, and deployment.
- Provide advisory support to the ISSM on ATO extensions and BoE review.
- Perform high level architecture/security engineering responsibility.

- Analyze, design, and implement technical security controls for complex information systems in accordance with RMF, NIST, and DoW requirements.
- Perform configuration assessments, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments for systems, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
- Configure, deploy, and validate security tools and technologies to monitor, detect, and protect against cyber threats.
- Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of assessment and authorization (A&A) packages, including system security plans (SSPs), plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms), and supporting artifacts.
- Conduct security impact analyses for system changes and recommend appropriate security engineering solutions.
- Participate in incident tracking and remediation activities; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Bachelor's degree and 11-12 years of related work experience
- TS/SCI clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- Must meet DoD 8140 qualification requirements for the Systems Security Analyst work role, designated as work role code 461 at the Advanced proficiency level
