Position Summary

Looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst to support enterprise applications, governance initiatives, audit remediation efforts, and operational risk management activities. This role combines technical troubleshooting expertise with strong project coordination skills to ensure audit findings, remediation plans, vulnerability management efforts, and compliance-driven initiatives are executed successfully through completion.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, understands application support and software development processes, and excels at driving accountability across cross-functional teams. This is not a people management role; rather, it focuses on managing workstreams, priorities, and deliverables while ensuring governance standards and organizational policies are followed.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support & Technical Analysis

• Provide support for enterprise applications by troubleshooting software, system, and operational issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend technical solutions for production-related incidents.
• Monitor critical processes and workflows to proactively identify issues and trends.
• Assist with application implementations, configurations, deployments, patches, and service releases.
• Support application testing activities across multiple environments.
• Review code and assist with troubleshooting and technical investigations when needed.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Support corporate Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives.
• Track audit findings and ensure remediation efforts are progressing according to plan.
• Develop, manage, and monitor remediation plans for identified risks and vulnerabilities.
• Review vulnerability inventories and partner with stakeholders to address findings.
• Ensure governance processes, policies, controls, and procedures are followed appropriately.
• Maintain high-quality documentation to support audit, compliance, and operational requirements.

Project Coordination & Execution

• Coordinate activities across multiple teams to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Drive tasks and action items through completion while maintaining visibility to stakeholders.
• Generate and distribute reporting on remediation efforts, risks, and project status.
• Serve as a procedural expert on processes, policies, and operational guidelines.
• May provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, OR
• High School Diploma/GED with 11+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong application support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage tasks and drive work to completion.
• Experience working within governance, compliance, audit, risk, or remediation-focused environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Scrum Master, Application Manager, Technical Lead, Senior Developer, or similar role.
• Proven experience coordinating projects, initiatives, or cross-functional workstreams.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), governance practices, and operational controls.
• Experience supporting regulated environments such as banking, financial services, or other compliance-driven industries.

Preferred Technical Skills

The following tools are preferred but not required:

• Jira
• Splunk
• Dynatrace
• AWS CloudWatch

The successful candidate is a technically strong professional who can quickly understand complex environments, troubleshoot application issues, coordinate remediation efforts, and ensure governance initiatives are completed successfully. This individual is highly organized, comfortable working across multiple priorities, and skilled at keeping projects moving forward while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
