Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will lead the implementation and support of complex infrastructure solutions, including hybrid cloud, virtualized environments, and enterprise server platforms.

Rate Range: $50/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid platforms to support critical business operations.

• Configure and manage servers, virtualized environments, storage systems, and network resources while ensuring security, performance, and reliability.

• Monitor system health, resource utilization, and infrastructure performance using enterprise monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Perform capacity planning, resource optimization, and cost management activities based on usage trends and business requirements.

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, network, and hardware problems, including mainframe, cloud, and data center environments.

• Collaborate with architecture and cross-functional teams to develop scalable infrastructure solutions, enhance system performance, and support future technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required; bachelor's degree and relevant certifications preferred.

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 8+ years supporting enterprise server, network, cloud, or hybrid environments.

• Strong expertise in IT operations, network engineering, virtualization, server administration, and enterprise hardware platforms, including Cisco and mainframe systems.

• Proven experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing secure infrastructure solutions across data center, cloud, and hybrid environments, with the ability to work on-site regularly in Dearborn and Flat Rock data centers.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
