Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator

Hours: 2:45PM to 12:45AM Monday through Friday

Training Hours: 1 week on first shift from 7:00AM-3:00PM

Starting Payrate: $17.00 Per hour

Job Site Location: Ivyland, PA 18974

Job Type: Contract to Permanent Hire

Responsibilities for a Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator:

Operate or tend plastic molding machine to mold and form thermoplastic materials

Observe continuous operation of automatic machine and width and alignment of plastic sheeting to ensure side flanges

Examine molded product for surface defects such as dents, bubbles, thin areas and cracks

Remove product from mold or conveyor and clean and reload the mold

Stack molded parts in boxes or on conveyor for processing or leave parts in mold to cool

Report defect in mold to Supervisor

Trim flash from finished products

Follow directions as noted on work order travelers and production drawings

Follow verbal instructions from Production Supervisor or Team Lead

Process orders as dictated by the production schedule

Maintain a clean, safe work area

Requirements for Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator:

Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment using machinery

High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to understand written and verbal English instructions

Able to read and understand written instructions

Able to stand while working

Ability to lift and move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift up to 40lbs

Pass a 7-year criminal background check and drug screening
