    About the Role:

    The Nursing Assistant plays a critical role in providing direct patient care and support within healthcare and assisted living environments. This position is essential for ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients by assisting with daily living activities and monitoring vital health indicators. The Nursing Assistant collaborates closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and maintain a clean, safe environment that promotes recovery and health. Through compassionate interaction and diligent observation, the Nursing Assistant helps identify changes in patient conditions and communicates these promptly to the care team. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall quality of care and patient satisfaction in healthcare settings across the United States.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program.
    • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent credential.
    • Basic computer literacy to manage electronic documentation.
    • Ability to demonstrate compassion and effective communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in assisted living or long-term care facilities.
    • Additional certifications in wound care or infection control.
    • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • CPR and First Aid certification.
    • Previous experience in a healthcare or social assistance setting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
    • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure accurately and timely.
    • Provide wound care support under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring proper hygiene and infection control protocols are followed.
    • Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by adhering to infection control standards and facility policies.
    • Support patients emotionally by demonstrating compassion and patience, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere.
    • Utilize basic computer skills to document patient information and update electronic health records as required.
    • Ensure regular and predictable attendance to maintain continuity of care and support for patients and the healthcare team.

    Skills:

    The required skills such as patient care, vital signs monitoring, and wound care are fundamental to daily tasks, ensuring patients receive attentive and accurate support. Infection control knowledge is applied consistently to maintain a safe environment and prevent the spread of illness.
