Shift Timing: Variable start times between 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment in a 277-bed acute care hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. The pharmacist will support inpatient pharmacy operations, ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing, collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, and provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services to hospitalized patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and accurately dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Monitor medication therapy and assess patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams on medication management and clinical recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
- Prepare and compound medications as required while adhering to all safety and quality guidelines
- Provide medication counseling and patient education when appropriate
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards, medication storage policies, and pharmacy operational procedures
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of California (required)
- Prior inpatient or acute care hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Ability to work flexible and variable shift start times based on departmental needs
