Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist – Acute Care Hospital
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-hour shifts
Shift Timing: Variable start times between 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Schedule Type: Rotating/Variable 8-hour shifts


Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment in a 277-bed acute care hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. The pharmacist will support inpatient pharmacy operations, ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing, collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, and provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services to hospitalized patients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and accurately dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
  • Monitor medication therapy and assess patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams on medication management and clinical recommendations
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
  • Prepare and compound medications as required while adhering to all safety and quality guidelines
  • Provide medication counseling and patient education when appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards, medication storage policies, and pharmacy operational procedures

Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacist license in the state of California (required)
  • Prior inpatient or acute care hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Ability to work flexible and variable shift start times based on departmental needs
