Position Overview
This role will manage and grow existing customer accounts, support new business development, and serve as a key connection between customers, Outside Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow assigned customer accounts
Identify upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion opportunities
Prepare quotes, process orders, and respond to RFQs
Support Outside Sales with territory and strategic account development
Understand customer applications, inventory needs, and purchasing patterns
Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics teams
Support VMI, integrated supply, and in-plant programs
Monitor open orders, inventory availability, and delivery timelines
Maintain accurate customer and sales activity in CRM and ERP systems
Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally
Qualifications
Three or more years of inside sales, account management, customer service, or sales support experience
Industrial distribution, manufacturing, OEM, fastener, or MRO experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
Experience with CRM or ERP systems such as Salesforce or Prophet 21
Customer-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
Vendor Managed Inventory, integrated supply, or Class C component program experience a plus
Experience supporting outside sales teams within a territory-based sales model a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $70,000–$80,000 (flexible based on experience) + incentive and commission potential
