Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, team player who is technically minded to join our inside sales team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for fleet managers, municipal buyers, and repair shops seeking heavy-duty drivetrain solutions, with a focus on Allison Transmission products, parts, and remanufactured transmissions. You will leverage your mechanical aptitude and parts catalog expertise to provide accurate quotes, technical assistance, and close inbound/outbound commercial sales.

Core Responsibilities

• Technical Consultation & Sales: Answer inbound calls, emails, and digital inquiries from commercial fleet customers, diagnosing their drivetrain needs and identifying correct replacement parts or complete Allison transmission units (e.g., 1000/3000/4000 Series, RDS, HS, EVS).
• Catalog Navigating: Utilize electronic parts catalogs (EPCs), Allison DOC diagnostics, and OEM spec sheets to accurately look up component configurations, torque converters, TCMs, and PTO applications.
• Quote Management: Prepare, present, and follow up on high-value commercial quotes. Overcome technical objections and coordinate delivery timelines to minimize customer vehicle downtime.
• Account Management & Prospecting: Maintain and grow relationships with existing commercial accounts while executing targeted outbound calls to regional fleets, municipalities, and independent repair facilities.
• Core & Inventory Logistics: Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including entering orders into a sage software system, tracking shipments, and coordinating core exchange deposits and returns.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of inside sales, parts counter, or service advisor experience within the commercial heavy truck (Class 7–8) or medium-duty vehicle industry.
• Allison Transmission Knowledge: Proven familiarity with Allison Transmission product lines, model designations (RDS, HS, MH), and vocational applications.
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with electronic parts catalogs, CRM platforms, and heavy-duty diagnostic tools (experience with Allison DOC or vocational OEM software is a massive plus).
• Communication Skills: Excellent phone etiquette and clear written communication, with the ability to confidently translate complex technical specifications to customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical trade school certification or Allison factory-certified training is highly preferred.
