Inside Sales Specialist

Clayton Services is searching for an Inside Sales Specialist to join a thriving company in the Clear Lake area of Houston. The Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for supporting daily sales operations, managing customer communications, preparing quotes and proposals, maintaining accurate customer records, and assisting with account management for critical power equipment and infrastructure solutions.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $50,000 - $75,000/year base salary, plus commissions and performance-based bonuses

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM in office; Friday remote, subject to training and operational needs.

Inside Sales Specialist Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming customer calls and emails, providing professional and timely assistance.
• Support the sales team with daily administrative tasks, customer inquiries, and order processing.
• Prepare and maintain customer quotes, proposals, and sales documentation.
• Work with customers and vendors to gather information, identify needs, and coordinate equipment solutions.
• Maintain accurate customer records, equipment information, and sales activity in internal tracking systems.
• Track customer follow-ups, outstanding tasks, service agreements, and contract renewal opportunities.
• Assist with coordinating equipment deliveries, installations, maintenance visits, and service-related activities.
• Identify opportunities for additional equipment sales, service contracts, and replacement components.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Planner to organize workflows and manage customer information.
• Collaborate with sales, purchasing, operations, and leadership to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support existing customer relationships and assist with identifying new business opportunities.
• Develop knowledge of critical power equipment, data centers, and other mission-critical applications.

Inside Sales Specialist Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, or administrative support preferred but not required.
• Entry-level candidates and recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience preparing quotes, managing customer accounts, or maintaining sales records is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Planner, CRM systems, or other business management applications is a plus.
• Experience in electrical equipment, industrial products, technology, or data center infrastructure is a plus but not required.
• Interest in developing a career in sales, business development, or business operations.
