About the Role

The Inspector Packer is responsible for visually inspecting products to ensure they are defect-free and accurately packaging items according to work order specifications. This position supports quality control and production efficiency within a manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, communicate effectively, and promote a safe, organized work area to uphold high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough visual inspections of parts produced by designated machines to verify defect-free products.
• Verify that all parts and containers comply with specific work orders and company quality standards.
• Properly package containers into cartons following detailed instructions outlined in work orders.
• Maintain a steady flow of production by ensuring machines operate smoothly and efficiently.
• Communicate promptly with Quality Assurance Assistants or Shift Supervisors regarding defective or unacceptable parts.
• Apply inspector identification numbers to all cartons and securely seal them for shipping.
• Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized to promote a safe working environment.
• Assist with training new or incoming Inspector/Packers, sharing knowledge and expertise in inspection and packing procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic math skills to interpret measurements and work instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for inspection and packing tasks.

• Strong team player-cooperative, respectful, and proactive in supporting colleagues.
• Self-motivated with an attitude towards safety and efficiency improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to handle up to 40 lbs.
• General warehouse environment involving inspection and packaging tasks.
