Are you a talented and experienced general laborer looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Permanent Installer for Partitions to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise to a thriving construction company, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality results for our clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of various types of partitions, including but not limited to, drywall, glass, and movable partitions. You will work on a wide range of construction projects, from commercial buildings to residential properties, and will be expected to deliver exceptional workmanship, ensuring that all installations are carried out to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Installer for Partitions, your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Measuring and marking cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim, using tape measure, straightedge or square, and marking devices.
• Installing and fastening drywall panels to the inside framework of building.
• Preparing panels for painting by taping or finishing joints.
• Smoothing out imperfections.
• Working with ceiling tile installers to build walls.
• Repairing cracks and holes in drywall and plaster.
• Working closely with other construction professionals such as electricians and plumbers to ensure installations are carried out within the set timeline and budget.
• Adhering to all safety standards and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Laborer in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in installing various types of partitions.
• Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, tools, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work for long hours.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other construction professionals.
• High school diploma or equivalent. A certificate in a construction-related field will be considered a plus.
