The Installer is responsible for physical installation of telecom infrastructure, including racks, cabling, power systems, and network equipment within central offices and remote facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Install relay racks, cabinets, fuse panels, and superstructure
Run, terminate, and label copper and fiber cabling between equipment
Install and power telecom equipment (e.g., chassis, line cards)
Perform node installations and cabling per engineering design
Assist with DC power systems including rectifiers and batteries
Support equipment turn-up and commissioning activities
Maintain installation standards, labeling, and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience with telecom equipment installation and rack-and-stack work
Knowledge of DC power systems and cabling standards
Ability to read engineering drawings and installation plans
Familiarity with structured cabling and testing procedures
