Position Summary: This position serves in the Education and Leadership Division in the College of Education (COE) at Western Oregon University (WOU) as a full-time instructional faculty member in Teacher Education- Math and Science focus. The Instructional Faculty, Teacher Education- Math and Science, is primarily dedicated to undergraduate and graduate instruction (80% effort), encompassing lecture and applied theory in preparation for licensure courses in mathematics and science methods, especially focused on the implementation of effective STEM instruction in K12 classrooms with teaching responsibilities distributed across elementary and secondary undergraduate and graduate student populations. Service responsibilities (5% effort) include consistent participation in undergraduate team meetings as well as monthly Division meetings. Required Qualifications: Please ensure your application materials clearly demonstrate how you meet the following: Master 's Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Math and /or Science Higher Education Teaching Experience: 1-2 years of teaching experience in a higher education setting. K-12 Teaching Experience: 3-5 years of successful teaching experience in K -12 education. Professional Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through written, verbal, and signed interactions with students, colleagues, staff, and community members. Professional Conduct & Confidentiality: Consistently maintain professionalism, uphold confidentiality, and comply with FERPA and institutional policies. Independent Work & Initiative: Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and complete responsibilities with minimal supervision. Teaching License Eligibility: Eligible for a professional teaching license, with a current teaching license, a license that expired within the past five years, or an equivalent current or recently held (within five years) teaching credential.
