    Job Description

    SUMMARY

    Serves as a Trio Summer Academy STEM instructor for high school students (9th grade-12th grade) in the Trio Summer Academy. This is a six-week instructional assignment (June - July) with planning meetings commencing in June. The instructor will work approximately 12-15 hours per week, between 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Teaches STEM to high school students (9th grade-12th grade)
    • Provides classroom supervision
    • Monitors and keeps daily log of student attendance, behavior, and academic development
    • Assists in the development of daily lesson plans and formative & summative assessments
    • Develops and maintains class syllabi and grade reports
    • Provides a comprehensive written summary on each class taught
    • Develops engaging and hands-on lessons to facilitate teaching and learning
