Mary Spellman State Farm
Full-Time | Arizona Market | Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
Build Relationships. Grow a Market. Be Part of a Team.
Mary Spellman State Farm, an established California-based State Farm agency, is looking for a dynamic, already-licensed insurance professional to help us grow and develop our Arizona business.
We’re looking for more than someone who can quote insurance.
We want someone who is comfortable getting out into the community, developing referral relationships, following up consistently, asking for the business, and turning relationships into long-term customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys sales and wants the support and benefits of an established agency while having the opportunity to help build our presence in Arizona.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for developing new business primarily in Arizona through a combination of agency opportunities and your own relationship-building efforts.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building relationships with prospective customers throughout Arizona
Developing referral partnerships with Realtors, mortgage professionals, lenders, title/escrow professionals, business owners, and other community partners
Conducting outside sales and networking activities
Prospecting and following up with new leads and referrals
Quoting and selling appropriate State Farm insurance products
Identifying cross-sell opportunities and developing multi-product customer relationships
Managing your sales pipeline from initial conversation through close
Maintaining consistent follow-up with prospects and referral partners
Keeping detailed and accurate documentation
Working closely with our California-based agency team
Meeting individual production goals while contributing to overall agency growth
Delivering an excellent customer experience before, during, and after the sale
Who We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you’re the person who naturally builds relationships and remembers to follow up.
You are:
Currently insurance licensed
Highly detail-oriented and accurate
Energetic and comfortable talking with new people
Confident asking for referrals and new business
Comfortable with both inside and outside sales
Able to develop your own relationships instead of relying solely on incoming leads
Organized and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
Persistent and consistent with follow-up
Self-motivated but genuinely interested in being part of a team
Comfortable being held accountable to measurable sales goals
Professional in your communication and appearance
Interested in building a long-term career rather than simply finding your next job
Mortgage & Real Estate Professionals — We Want to Hear From You
A traditional insurance background isn’t the only path to success in this position.

People who understand how to build Realtor and lender relationships, manage a pipeline, work referrals, and follow up consistently can be extremely successful in this role.
Compensation
Starting Base Salary: $42,000–$48,000, depending on experience and licensing
Plus uncapped commission and performance bonuses.
Our compensation structure is designed to reward production. We want someone who is motivated by the opportunity to increase their income as they build their business.
Expected total compensation for a successful first-year team member: approximately $60,000–$80,000+, depending on production.
Exceptional performance provides additional earning potential.

What Makes This Position Different
This isn’t a position where you’ll spend your entire day waiting for the phone to ring.
We are looking for someone who wants to develop a market.
You should be comfortable picking up the phone, walking into a real estate or mortgage office, attending a networking event, developing community relationships, asking for introductions, and following up until an opportunity becomes a customer.
At the same time, you won’t be doing it alone.
You’ll be part of an established agency team that values accountability, attention to detail, responsiveness, teamwork, and taking great care of our customers.
If you’re licensed, ambitious, relationship-driven, organized, and ready to help us grow in Arizona, we’d like to meet you.
We are looking for personality, drive, attention to detail, and follow-through—not simply the longest insurance resume.
This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents’ employees are not employees of State Farm.
