Insurance Coverage Attorney: Complex Coverage Litigation with Hybrid Flexibility in San Jose

Our client, a respected Bay Area firm, is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to join its San Jose office. The practice represents insurers in coverage disputes, declaratory relief actions, and bad faith litigation involving commercial general liability, property, and professional lines policies.

This is a hybrid position. You will divide your week between the downtown San Jose office and home.

What You'll Do

• Analyze policies and prepare detailed coverage opinions
• Litigate declaratory relief and bad faith actions in state and federal courts
• Draft dispositive motions, discovery, and briefs
• Take and defend depositions of claims professionals and experts
• Advise carriers on coverage positions, reservations of rights, and resolution strategy

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active member of the State Bar of California in good standing
• 3+ years of insurance coverage or civil litigation experience
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
• Strong judgment and attention to detail
• Comfort working on a hybrid schedule
