Insurance Coverage Attorney: Complex Coverage Work in Downtown St. Petersburg

Our client, a well-respected Florida firm with a growing insurance practice, is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with 3+ years of experience for its St. Petersburg office. The team advises insurers on first- and third-party coverage questions and litigates coverage disputes in state and federal court.

This is an in-office role in downtown St. Petersburg, where you will work side by side with experienced coverage partners and a supportive litigation team.

What You'll Do

• Analyze policies and prepare coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters
• Litigate declaratory judgment and bad faith actions
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs
• Take and defend depositions and attend mediations and hearings
• Advise claims professionals and clients on coverage strategy

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of insurance coverage, bad faith, or insurance defense litigation experience
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
• Ability to manage a caseload independently
• Commitment to working in office as part of a collaborative team
