Insurance Sales & Customer Relationship Representative

Tomica Hodge – State Farm Agency | Clinton Township, MI

Compensation: $50,000–$80,000 annually (Base Salary + Commission + Performance Bonuses)

Tomica Hodge – State Farm Agency is looking for a driven, relationship-oriented sales professional who can help grow our agency while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This is a hybrid sales and customer relationship role. You'll work with existing customers, follow up on opportunities, develop new business, and help people find insurance solutions that fit their needs.

We're especially interested in someone who understands that successful sales come from building rapport, asking the right questions, and earning a customer's trust.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop new business through customer referrals, existing relationships, follow-up, and agency-generated opportunities.

• Connect with existing customers to review coverage and identify additional insurance needs.

• Build rapport and establish lasting relationships with prospective and current customers.

• Present Auto, Home, Life, Health, and other insurance products based on customer needs.

• Identify cross-selling opportunities and confidently recommend appropriate coverage.

• Follow up consistently with leads, quotes, and existing customers to develop business.

• Balance sales production with customer service and retention responsibilities.

• Work toward individual and agency sales goals while maintaining high customer service standards.

• Participate in coaching, sales development, and ongoing professional training.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous insurance sales, financial services, banking, or relationship-based sales experience is preferred.

• Experience with Progressive, Comerica/CoAmerica, or other organizations where customer service, relationship development, and sales are important is a plus.

• A natural ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.

• Comfortable discussing products, identifying needs, overcoming objections, and asking for the business.

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and consistent with follow-up.

• Someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and wants to grow professionally.

• Coachable, professional, and willing to continuously improve.

• Active Michigan Property & Casualty license preferred; candidates with strong transferable experience may be considered if willing to obtain required licensing.
