Seeking individual with extensive proven success as an Underwriter focusing on Excess & Surplus coverages to build a profitable book of business and act as a frontline underwriter.

Activities: 

• Develop and manage relationships with prospective and existing customers.

• Review submissions to determine acceptable pricing and terms within given authority.

• Review previous account losses to establish sound pricing models leading to profitable premiums.

• Assess risk exposures and utilize best judgement to accept, modify, or decline risks.

• Specialty Contractors including HVAC, Fire Suppression, Pest Control, Landscapers, Siders, Roofers, Plumbers, Fence Installers, etc.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years underwriting experience with a strong focus on Excess & Surplus.

• Knowledge of underwriting philosophy and techniques as well as local and national filing guidelines and regulations.
