Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid after training)

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 + Benefits

Our client is seeking an experienced Intake Specialist to support the client and matter intake process for a busy legal environment. This role is responsible for conducting conflict checks, preparing engagement documentation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring new matters are opened efficiently and compliantly.

Responsibilities

• Review and process new client and matter intake requests

• Conduct conflict checks and prepare conflict reports

• Draft and track engagement letters through execution

• Maintain accurate client and matter records

• Coordinate with attorneys and staff on intake requirements

• Manage intake deadlines and prioritize urgent requests

• Assist with conflict waivers, consent letters, and related documentation

• Support process improvements and workflow efficiency initiatives

Qualifications

• 2+ years of legal intake, conflicts, legal administration, or related experience

• Knowledge of client/matter intake and conflict resolution procedures

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Experience with legal practice management or document management systems preferred

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
