Job Overview
Lead the development of a U.S.-based integrated product support and lifecycle sustainment capability for defense UAS systems. This key role connects field maintenance, product reliability, warranty/RMA, repair readiness, technical publications, spare parts, and configuration control.
Work directly with program management, engineering, flight operations, quality, supply chain, production, and international partners to support mission-ready systems throughout their lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have 4+ years in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Integrated Product Support (IPS), sustainment, maintenance engineering, or defense field support.
- Experience with complex electromechanical, aerospace, UAS, missile, weapons, or defense systems.
- Working knowledge of maintenance planning, FRACAS, warranty/RMA, technical publications, training, configuration management, and spares.
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, programs, and customers.
- Strong communication, analysis, organization, and customer-facing skills.
- U.S. citizenship required for ITAR-controlled work; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, systems engineering, operations, or related field.
- Able to work fully on-site in Stafford, VA, and travel approximately 15%.
Preferred Requirements
- U.S. DoD or other military program and military technical-data deliverable experience.
- Experience building ILS, FSR, training, or warranty support for a growing defense organization.
- Army operator/maintainer training, technical manuals, provisioning, and international technology transfer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute program-specific ILS and lifecycle sustainment plans.
- Establish preventive/corrective maintenance concepts, troubleshooting, repair, and acceptance-testing processes.
- Partner with Field Service Representatives (FSRs) on customer-site maintenance and warranty issues.
- Lead FRACAS failure reporting, investigations, trends, corrective-action follow-up, and closure.
- Build warranty and RMA workflows, case tracking, repair coordination, turnaround reporting, and supporting inventory.
- Coordinate configuration-controlled operator/maintenance manuals, troubleshooting procedures, and illustrated parts information.
- Recommend spare parts, special tools, support equipment, and provisioning based on field and program data.
- Evaluate support impacts of engineering changes and keep fielded documentation current.
- Support packaging, handling, storage, transportation, and contractual logistics deliverables.
- Report ILS performance metrics including readiness, response time, repair turnaround, failures, warranty, and corrective actions.
