Interim Controller
We are currently seeking candidates for a hands-on Interim Controller at a manufacturing co. in Mansfield, MA 02048. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in month-end close, inventory management, cost accounting, and financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
Duration: 6+ months
Hourly Pay Rate: $75.00-$85.00 (based on relative work experience)
On-site 5 days per week

Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal financial policies
- Oversee inventory and vendor management and cost accounting processes
- Analyze cost variances and work with operations to optimize cost efficiency
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements
- Prepare and manage borrowing-based reports for financial institutions
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to lenders
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and financial institutions
- Oversee employee benefit plan
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in month-end close, inventory management, cost accounting, and financial analysis in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Strong financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting skills
- Experience with negotiating vendor contracts
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
