    Description

    SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Interim Executive Director for a  on-site opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. The Candidate will provide executive leadership for a large enterprise technology organization during a critical period of organizational transformation, driving operational stability, cultural improvement, and strategic change. The Candidate will evaluate organizational effectiveness, implement sustainable leadership and governance practices, and prepare the department for a successful transition to permanent executive leadership.

    Required Qualifications of the Interim Executive Director:

    • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
    • Bachelor's degree and eight (8) or more years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and experience.
    • At least three (3) years of executive leadership experience overseeing large, complex technology organizations.
    • At least three (3) years of experience leading enterprise organizational transformation and change management initiatives.
    • Proven experience driving organizational restructuring and culture improvement efforts.
    • Demonstrated success managing managers and professional staff while fostering accountability and high performance.
    • Strong background in strategic planning, operational leadership, and organizational performance management.
    • Experience managing budgets, allocating resources, and establishing measurable departmental objectives.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to lead organizational change while maintaining continuity of critical business operations.

    Preferred Skills/Experience of the Interim Executive Director:

    • Experience leading organizational turnaround or stabilization initiatives.
    • Experience rebuilding organizational culture during periods of significant change.
    • Knowledge of governance frameworks and operational maturity models.
    • Enterprise IT strategy and technology leadership experience.
    • Familiarity with network infrastructure, enterprise operations, project management, and change management.
    • Experience supporting audit, compliance, and risk management initiatives.
    • Experience working with executive leadership and senior organizational stakeholders.
    • Experience mentoring future leaders and developing succession plans.

    Responsibilities of the Interim Executive Director:

    • Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for departmental operations and organizational initiatives.
    • Lead organizational transformation efforts to improve culture, accountability, operational performance, and service delivery.
    • Evaluate organizational structure, staffing, and processes, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Supervise leadership staff, manage performance, and partner with Human Resources on employee relations and workforce planning.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership and key stakeholders to align departmental priorities with organizational goals.
    • Develop transition documentation, governance practices, and succession plans to support long-term organizational success.

    Work Location: Fully onsite in Columbia, South Carolina.
