JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY We are looking for aDiesel Mechanic Internto join our team inHackensack NJ. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in building a career working onheavy construction yellow iron" equipmentsuch as excavators loaders dozers backhoes rollers and other diesel-powered machinery.The intern will work alongside experienced mechanics and technicians to gain hands-on experience with inspections preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with preventive maintenance on heavy construction equipmentHelp perform oil changes filter changes greasing fluid checks and basic service workSupport mechanics with equipment inspections and repair workAssist with diagnosing mechanical hydraulic and electrical issuesMaintain a clean and organized shop and work areaFollow all safety procedures and wear required PPEHelp track maintenance and service records as neededLearn proper use of tools shop equipment and repair proceduresMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSCurrently enrolled in or recently completed a Diesel Technology Heavy Equipment Technology Automotive Technology or related programStrong interest in diesel engines and heavy equipment repairBasic mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitudeBasic set of tools to perform mechanical repair responsibilitiesWillingness to learn and take directions from experienced techniciansReliable punctual and safety-focusedAbility to work in a shop and outdoor yard environmentValid drivers license preferredIf you require sponsorship now or in the future please discuss with recruiting or hiring team during interview process.We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employeesEqual Opportunity Employer including disabled and veterans.
