Job Summary:

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, in partnership with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM), is seeking passionate and experienced physicians to join the core faculty of its well-established Internal Medicine Residency Program in Gainesville, Florida.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of physicians while practicing in a supportive, academically enriched environment.

Candidate Profile
We’re looking for physicians who are passionate about education and committed to excellence in outpatient care:
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Postgraduate clinical experience preferred
  • Prior teaching or chief resident experience is a plus
  • Strong commitment to outpatient care and resident education
  • Comfortable leading clinic-only attending days and delivering lectures in clinic settings
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, mentorship, and team collaboration skills
  • Willingness to engage in scholarly activities, committee service, and didactic presentations
  • Minimal call responsibilities
  • Role includes 0.2 FTE administrative time and 0.8 FTE clinical time

Faculty Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor residents and medical students
  • Participate in curriculum development and academic leadership
  • Collaborate with UCF COM faculty and contribute to the academic mission
  • Engage in scholarly activities including research, publications, and presentations
