We are looking for:Internal MedicineCredentialedVeterinaryTechnician
Proposed Schedule: Monday - Thursday (10 hour shifts) with potential of M-F (8 hour shifts)
The Internal Medicine team is constantly working with our internists to provide information to our clientsregardingpatient care,updatesand treatments. This is one department thatfocuses on relationship building as patient care is longer in duration.If you want to combine your love of animals and clients, this is the department for you!
Whatyou’lldo:
Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg,etc).
Induce,monitorand recoverpatients fromanesthesia
Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
Set up andassistwith endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
Patient discharge and client education
Who you are:
State Registered Veterinary Technician license
Prior veterinary experience,previousinternal medicine or anesthesiaexperience desired
Proficientincalculations(drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
