International Sales Agent

In the role of the International Sales Agent you will part of the international sales team and perform the following:

Responsibilities:

The International Sales Support is responsible for day-to-day contact with customers and internal departments to ensure that all customer's needs are met.

• Generate sales leads and perform market research to help the international team grow.
• Open and maintain customer accounts by recording account information/data entry such as new incoming leads, orders, incident reports, etc.
• Assist with coordinating shipping with freight forwarders or trucks, which includes filling out shipping paperwork, getting freight rate quotes and tracking orders.
• Assist with invoice collection by supporting the international sales team deal with internal discrepancies such as incorrect discounts, incorrect invoicing/billing address, correct shipping charges, etc.
• Assist ensuring that all customers receive a copy of invoices and shipping details.
• Maintain financial accounts by ensuring the internal process of customer adjustments and credits.
• Handle complaints and incident reports (internally) by recommending appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits to ensure resolution.
• Help inform customers of deals and promotions.
• Support the International team in all facets of growing the business.
• Other customer service and sales support duties as needed or as assigned.

Experience and Education:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field is required and at least 2 years of work experience as a sales support in a manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Prior experience using AI (Claude, ChatGPT, CoPilot, etc) in a work environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and multi-task.
• Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills and a sensitivity to understand sales and customer needs.
• Flexibility and the desire to take on additional responsibility.
• Knowledge of an inventory system preferably, but not required.
• Independent thinker and ability to demonstrate initiative in day-to-day work assignments
• Articulate, with exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquettes
• Ability to handle customer and internal situations that, at times may be stressful
• Bilingual English and Spanish and/or French preferred

Position Expectations

Once learning the Goodway product range, export paper flow, shipping logistics, etc. (6 to 8 months), successful candidate will have the opportunity of moving into an export sales role which will include the assignment of sales territories and/or industry sectors.
