Ohio-licensed Intervention Specialist to support students with disabilities at a charter school in Columbus, Ohio, for the 2026 2027 school year.
This is an excellent opportunity to provide individualized instruction, deliver targeted interventions, and help students achieve their academic goals in a
Resource/Pull-Out setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), differentiated instruction, and effective special education practices. What You'll Do
Provide specially designed instruction through individualized and small-group lessons in a Resource/Pull-Out setting.
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with students' IEP goals and academic needs.
Implement accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies outlined in students' IEPs.
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to address individual learning needs.
Maintain accurate progress-monitoring data, special education documentation, and student records.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development, review, and implementation of student goals.
Use differentiated and evidence-based instructional strategies to support diverse learners.
Establish a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Encourage student independence, confidence, and academic growth.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher.
Experience providing Resource/Pull-Out instruction strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction.
Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A patient, flexible, and student-centered approach to teaching.
A genuine commitment to helping students with disabilities succeed academically.
Required Qualifications
Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License REQUIRED.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Appropriate Ohio licensure and credentials for the position.
Previous special education teaching experience preferred.
