We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist – Cardiovascular/Neuro to join a leading healthcare organization in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position is ideal for an experienced radiologic technologist who enjoys working in a fast-paced, procedural environment alongside physicians performing advanced cardiovascular and neuro-interventional procedures.
The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional patient care while maintaining the highest standards of imaging quality, radiation safety, and sterile technique.
Important: Candidates must reside within 30 minutes of the facility to meet on-call response requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform interventional radiology procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images during cardiovascular and neuro-interventional procedures.
Assist physicians throughout specialized procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for imaging procedures.
Verify patient information and obtain appropriate clinical documentation.
Utilize proper radiation protection techniques for patients, staff, and visitors.
Monitor patients throughout procedures and recognize emergency situations when immediate intervention is required.
Maintain imaging equipment and assist with department workflow as needed.
Participate in an on-call rotation and respond within required response times.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
Current Indiana Radiologic License.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
Must live within 30 minutes of the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of Interventional Radiology experience.
