About the Role

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records within a pharmaceutical and healthcare environment. This role involves stocking, cataloging, performing quality checks on inventory items, and ensuring compliance with GXP and pharmaceutical regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharma care, inventory control, cycle counting, and will work closely with vendors and internal teams to optimize stock integrity and prevent loss.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update inventory records accurately and in a timely manner
• Conduct cycle counting and inventory control processing to ensure stock accuracy
• Stock and catalog pharmaceutical and healthcare products
• Perform quality checks on stored inventory and discard items that do not meet standards
• Order inventory from vendors and suppliers, track shipment arrivals, and obtain price estimates for cost comparison
• Report discrepancies or inventory loss, including theft, to management
• Implement loss prevention programs and procedures to safeguard inventory assets
• Research product details, test new products, and verify the accuracy of information
• Share inventory updates and reports with management and relevant stakeholders
• Conduct research to ensure proper storage and documentation of products following GXP and pharma regulations
• Spend time on the production floor engaging with team members and vendors to meet operational needs
• Drive forklift equipment (order picker) to facilitate inventory movement as required
• Assist with research and testing of new products to support procurement and inventory accuracy

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in an administrative or office management role, preferably within a pharma or healthcare environment
• 1-2 years of experience with cycle counting and inventory control processing
• PC literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) software
• Ability to operate forklift equipment (order picker)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and motivational skills
• Professional business demeanor
• Knowledge of GMP, GXP, or pharma regulatory standards is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in pharma and healthcare environments
• Proficiency with Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, charts, and data validation
• Experience implementing loss prevention programs
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Significant time spent on the production floor and in the warehouse environment
• Ability to work extended hours when necessary
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Frequent communication with team members, management, and key contacts
