Inventory Control Associate

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing distribution operation in the Atlanta area, for an Inventory Control Associate to help keep their warehouse running with precision. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in accuracy and wants to play a direct role in making sure product moves smoothly from receiving to shipping without costly discrepancies.

Day to day, you will be on your feet counting, scanning, and reconciling stock, moving between the warehouse floor and inventory software to keep records airtight. People who thrive in this role are detail-oriented, comfortable with repetitive physical tasks, and enjoy solving the puzzle when numbers do not match up. It suits someone dependable who likes structure, works well as part of a warehouse team, and takes satisfaction in a tightly run operation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily and cycle counts of warehouse inventory
• Reconcile physical stock counts against system records
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments
• Update inventory management software with accurate stock data
• Tag, label, and organize product within designated storage locations
• Assist with month-end and year-end physical inventory audits
• Coordinate with warehouse and shipping teams to track product movement
• Prepare inventory reports for supervisors and management
• Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in inventory, warehouse, or logistics environment preferred
• Comfortable using inventory management or ERP software
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Experience with handheld scanners and barcode systems a plus
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift or pallet jack certification a plus
