Job Description:

• Manages time and equipment effectively to ensure efficient operations.
• Completes daily responsibilities according to established procedures.
• Endorses departmental initiatives while promoting cooperation with all staff.
• Demonstrates willingness to perform additional tasks as needed within Cardiology.
• Initiates return of defective devices to vendors.
• Understands urgent device-related issues and responds appropriately and timely to all patient orders.
• Performs inventory, generates requisitions for non-stock and select stock items, and restocks designated inventory areas.
• Tracks the status of open orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Generates and validates inventory management system reports to maintain PAR levels on Cardiology supplies.
• Performs regular cycle counts and tracks special purchases for Cardiology.
• Coordinates with Materials Management and Purchasing to research pertinent issues.
• Keeps supervisor or manager informed while communicating appropriately and professionally with physicians, technicians, and other hospital personnel.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Skills in applying inventory and materials handling concepts and knowledge of mathematical problems. [Required]
• Able to work flexible schedule according to needs of dept. [Required]
• Knowledge of computer keyboard and data elements. [Required]
• Must be able to read and write legibly and communicate effectively. [Required]
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot job tools (IE: bar code scanners. [Required]
• Must be able to exercise initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making to achieve organizational objectives. [Required]
• Knowledge of supply chain management and accurate inventories [Required]
• Knowledge of medical terminology [Preferred]
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Access, and database programs [Preferred]
• Medical material management [Preferred]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Pay Range:

$18.87 - $30.19
