A well-established industrial manufacturer in the Chicago area is adding an Inventory Control Coordinator to its supply chain team. This is the working lead on the plant floor who keeps inventory accurate: running and leading the toughest cycle counts, auditing results, researching discrepancies in the ERP, and coaching the cycle counters without carrying a supervisor title. For an inventory pro who knows ERP counting cold and wants real ownership of count accuracy at a stable, growing plant, this is a clear step up from a straight cycle-counter seat.

• Anticipate $52K-$58K ($24-$28/hour)
• Benefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K w/ match, PTO, holidays
• 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm; overtime as required
• Non-exempt

• Coordinate and perform scheduled ABC, recurring monthly, spot, and special-request cycle counts to keep plant inventory accurate
• Lead the difficult, high-risk, and complex counts that need extra planning, access, or verification
• Audit and verify count results, recounts, adjustments, and transaction history so the numbers hold up
• Research routine and moderate discrepancies through ERP transaction history and physical-location review, and escalate the significant, recurring, or control-related ones
• Provide count guidance, support, and training to cycle counters without direct supervisory authority
• Keep accurate count, audit, and investigation records in the ERP, and support month-end, year-end, and physical inventory activities
• Recommend improvements to counting methods, location controls, labeling, storage, and standard work

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
• ERP/MRP experience required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong analytical, documentation, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Able to lead complex counts and provide technical guidance without a supervisory title
• Able to recognize when an issue needs to be escalated to the manager
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and move throughout a plant floor, with regular use of calipers, gages, and measuring equipment
• Strongly Preferred — 3+ years of recent inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment
