Position Summary 

The Inventory Control Specialist supports inventory accuracy and record integrity across FlexTG’s regional warehouse network through data analysis, reconciliations, and control support activities. The role analyzes inventory data, identifies discrepancies and risks, and partners with operations and purchasing teams to support compliance with established inventory control standards, escalating issues as appropriate.   This role pays from $32.81-$39.37 DOE 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities  

  • Perform inventory analysis and reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and transactional errors.
  • Investigate inventory variances and document findings; escalate systemic or unresolved issues to management.
  • Monitor virtual inventory warehouses and ensure transactions align with established processes.
  • Maintain accuracy of the stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions, numbering, or locations and submitting corrections for approval.
  • Locate and validate inventory items with inaccurate locations or stocking numbers to support record integrity.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams regarding new items, location changes, counts, and stocking level updates to support accurate inventory records. 
  • Collaborate with regional Warehouse Management to coordinate physical inventory counts, supporting scheduling, preparation, and follow‑up activities to ensure counts are executed effectively. 
  • Monitor obsolescence data and report findings to management for review and disposition decisions.
  • Process warehouse and vendor return transactions, including damage claims, in accordance with established workflows.  
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience  

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, supply chain, logistics, or related operations environments
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across warehouse and purchasing teams
  • Demonstrated experience performing inventory analysis, reconciliations, and discrepancy research
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational discipline
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify variances, and document findings
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS/ERP) and standard reporting tools (e.g., Excel or similar)

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Associate degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • Experience performing hands‑on inventory reconciliations and discrepancy research in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Proficiency in inventory transactions, adjustments, and reporting within a WMS or ERP system
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel or comparable tools for variance analysis, data validation, and reporting support
