Value Added Distributors is looking for a full-time Inventory Delivery Driver in Rockford, IL.GREAT PAYThis full-time job pays $18 per hour.EXCELLENT BENEFITSHealth insuranceDentalVisionPaid vacation and holidays401(k) with employer matchYOUR NEW ROLE AS AN INVENTORY DELIVERY DRIVERYou will work Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Sometimes overtime is needed. Every day you will drive to customer locations, sometimes up to two hours each way.Each day, you will work with your team and the sales staff to make sure our customers get the products they need, when they need them. You will check how much inventory customers have, keep records up to date, and make orders to restock when needed. Your day usually starts by reviewing inventory and planning your deliveries. Then you will drive to customer sites, deliver products, refill their inventory, and talk to the main contacts at each location. You will solve problems as they come up, keep good notes, and meet with your branch manager to report on any changes. You will also help out in the warehouse and take part in training to learn new skills.INVENTORY DELIVERY DRIVER REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least 21 years old2+ years of driving experience in all weather conditionsValid Class C driver's license and a clean driving recordAbility to obtain a DOT medical card (company reimburses)Ability to type 25+ words per minuteFamiliarity with supply chain or logistics is idealSolid judgment and decision-making ability, staying objective and calm under pressureExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to multitask and maintain urgency in a fast-paced environmentStrong data analysis and inventory forecasting skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills, and a respectful, team-oriented attitudeAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksAbility to safely lift up to 65 pounds using proper techniquesProficiency with Microsoft Office productsExperience with ERP systems like Epicor (a plus)Knowledge of hydraulic components (a plus)ABOUT OUR COMPANYValue Added Companies is an ISO 9001:2015 certified business that helps manufacturers and operations teams in many locations.
