Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Inventory Management professional for a Contract job with a client in Palm Bay, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, stockroom operations, and material handling, along with the ability to support manufacturing and production activities in a fast-paced environment.

Rate Range: $17/hour to $20/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Inventory Management Job Responsibilities Include:

• Receive incoming materials, parts, supplies, and equipment while verifying quantities, weights, and documentation against purchase orders, invoices, and shipping records.

• Inspect received materials for accuracy, damage, and compliance with specifications, and report discrepancies or non-conforming items to the appropriate personnel.

• Maintain inventory records and process shipping and receiving documentation including freight bills, packing slips, inventory transactions, and related material control records.

• Stock, store, distribute, allocate, and move materials to support production schedules, manufacturing operations, and customer service requirements.

• Support stockroom operations by performing picking, counting, inventory verification, cycle counts, and material transfers while maintaining inventory accuracy.

• Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts upon certification, while following Environmental Health and Safety requirements and company procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Zero to three years of experience in inventory management, stockroom operations, warehouse activities, shipping and receiving, material handling, or related support functions.

• Experience supporting inventory control processes, material transactions, stock replenishment, and production support activities.

• Ability to accurately verify material counts, maintain records, and follow detailed work instructions and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, logistics, warehouse, or distribution environments.

• Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP systems, and material tracking processes.

• Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.

• Knowledge of stockroom organization, inventory accuracy practices, and material storage requirements.

• Experience supporting production schedules and service level agreements through efficient material handling and inventory management.

• Understanding of workplace safety practices and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.

Pay Details: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
