Inventory Specialist (A4)

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the organization, tracking, and control of spare parts, supplies, and supporting materials. The role supports maintenance operations by managing inventory processes and maintaining accurate data within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). This position ensures materials are available to support preventative maintenance and project work while maintaining accurate inventory records and an organized workspace.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory Management & Control

• Maintain parts and supply inventories by verifying stock levels and ensuring accuracy.
• Organize and store parts, supplies, and materials using proper labeling and storage practices.
• Reconcile inventory levels through sign-out sheets, work orders, and supporting documentation.

Procurement & Financial Coordination

• Reconcile purchase orders with invoices and coordinate discrepancies with accounting.
• Assist in tracking and managing inventory-related transactions within internal systems.

Planning & Maintenance Support

• Anticipate equipment, parts, and supply needs to support preventative maintenance and special projects.
• Plan parts and material requirements in coordination with scheduled maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure availability of parts for planned work.
• Assist managers and supervisors with scheduling preventative and planned maintenance tasks.

Systems & Data Management

• Enter, update, and maintain accurate data within the CMMS (e.g., Maximo).
• Support maintenance tracking, reporting, and documentation processes.

Work Environment & Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Ensure storage areas and workspaces remain free of debris and clutter.
• Adhere to company standards, safety policies, and operational procedures.
