Selby Jennings has partnered with a publicly traded energy company to identify an Investor Relations Manager to join its Houston-based corporate team.
This individual will play a critical role in executing the company's investor relations strategy and serving as a key liaison between senior leadership and the investment community. The position offers broad exposure to executive leadership, capital markets, corporate strategy, and investor communications.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of the company's Investor Relations strategy
Partner with senior leadership to communicate financial performance, operational results, and strategic initiatives to investors and analysts
Develop investor-facing materials including earnings presentations, scripts, investor decks, FAQs, website content, and other external communications
Assist in the planning and execution of investor meetings, conferences, roadshows, and earnings-related activities
Prepare market intelligence and capital markets updates for executive leadership
Work cross-functionally with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Strategy, Operations, and Communications teams to ensure consistent external messaging
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
10+ years of relevant experience within Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or related functions
Prior public company experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and capital markets
Experience developing investor-facing communications and presentation materials
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to engage effectively with investors, analysts, executive leadership, and other external stakeholders
Preferred Backgrounds
Investor Relations professionals within publicly traded energy companies
Equity Research professionals covering Energy, E&P, Oilfield Services, Midstream, or Natural Resources
Energy Investment Banking professionals
Treasury, Corporate Finance, FP&A, or Strategy professionals from publicly traded energy companies
Candidates with experience supporting earnings processes, investor communications, and capital markets initiatives
