Investor Relations Summer Intern

Are you interested in business, technology, artificial intelligence, and investor relations? The Inland Real Estate Group is seeking a motivated and analytical Investor Relations Intern to join our team. This unique internship combines hands-on exposure to Investor Relations with real-world experience supporting AI, automation, and process improvement initiatives that drive business results.

As an Investor Relations Intern, you will work alongside professionals across Investor Relations Contact Center, Project, Communications, and AI teams while gaining valuable insight into how Inland serves investors, manages communications, and supports real estate investment programs.

What Youll Do

Investor Relations Experience

• Support investor communications and reporting processes.
• Assist with projects that support investor operations and business objectives.
• Learn how Investor Relations manages fund dispositions from the sale letter through closing.
• Collaborate with teams responsible for investor outreach, communications, and project management.
• Gain exposure to how Investor Relations partners with Sales, Asset Management, Accounting, Legal, Operations, and other departments across the organization.

AI, Automation & Process Improvement

• Participate in real-world AI and automation initiatives that support Investor Relations business operations.
• Assist with Microsoft Copilot and agent-based use cases tied to departmental and enterprise goals.
• Evaluate existing business processes and identify workflow improvement opportunities.
• Document findings, recommendations, and project outcomes.
• Support the development of practical solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and visibility across the department.
• Help analyze and optimize workflows that impact employees and investors.

What Were Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Real Estate, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field.
• Junior standing at the time of application.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week at our Oak Brook, Illinois corporate headquarters.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.

Preferred Characteristics

• Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, automation, data analysis, or process improvement.
• Curious mindset with a passion for learning new technologies.
• Strong critical thinking and business analysis skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with business users and stakeholders across departments.
• Ability to ask thoughtful questions, document findings, and communicate recommendations effectively.

Summer Internship Program Details

• 12-Week Paid Internship
• Program Dates: May 24 - August 13
• Location: Downers Grove, Illinois Corporate Headquarters
• Schedule: Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week)

Hourly Pay Rate: $25.
