Position Summary
The ISO Transportation Manager is responsible for all transportation related activities of an ISO Depot, including promoting business growth and customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise Driver Managers including ensuring accurate and efficient dispatching and load planning.
Develop positive relationships with customers including coordinating activities, resolving issues, and soliciting work.
Monitor and train staff for consistent and efficient processes including proper dispatching.
Coordinate as needed with yard, shop, and wash leadership to ensure timely and efficient execution of activities to meet customer needs.
Ensure chassis and tractors are kept current with servicing and inspections.
Recruiting, hiring, termination of drivers and terminal staff.
Manage dispatch to identify resource needs and training and development needs are met
Enforce and practice all safety rules of the Company and all government agencies, including but not limited to DOT and OSHA
Ensure both internal and external customers are treated with courtesy, discretion, and sound judgement
Communicate with Sales department where appropriate including potential new customer opportunities.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Staff supervision experience
Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations
Experience managing a location of similar scope
Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Solid communication skills and attention to detail

Must be able to work weekends and Holidays as needed
Be on call as required
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Physical Demands:
Must be able to enter shop and tank wash environments (with proper safety gear) as needed to facilitate communications with those functions
Must be able to walk around the terminal facilities to facilitate security inspections and communicate with drivers or other visitors as needed
Long periods of sitting in front of a computer screen may be required
Occasionally required to stand, reach, bend and lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Work Environment:
The position typically operates in a standard office environment.
This position routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.
