Job Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of AI strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Contribute to the AI review and approval process for use cases and vendors.
• Promote the adoption of standardized AI processes across the state.
• Design secure architectures and develop reusable technical patterns for AI solutions.
• Maintain expertise in AI, positioning the Office of Information Technology Services as a leader.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or related field.
• 1 year of experience with proof of concept success criteria and AI solution evaluation.
• 2 years of hands-on experience with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and generative AI platforms.
• 2 years of experience designing and implementing AI agents and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools for development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Experience defining AI use case success criteria, KPIs, and production monitoring measures.
• Experience building dashboards for AI adoption, performance, cost, and operational outcomes.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities with Azure and AWS.

Preferences

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Background in various programming languages and principles.
• Familiarity with artificial neural networks, transformers, NLP, image classification, and time-series data.
• Experience with data tools and techniques for data storage, retrieval, and cleaning.
