IT Assurance Manager

Location: Southeast U.S. (remote possible)

Overview

a long-established, nationally ranked regional CPA firm in the Southeast is seeking an experienced IT Assurance Manager to lead SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations, with a clear, defined path to upper management.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and client service activities, primarily SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations
• Lead client meetings and maintain client relationships
• Supervise, train and develop associates through engagement completion
• Review working papers and control testing against the defined test plan; perform SOC testing
• Monitor progress, assign work and escalate issues to ensure timely delivery
• Assist with other framework assessments such as NIST CSF and HITRUST

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or equivalent
• Active CPA license
• CISA, CISSP or other relevant certifications preferred, not required
• 3-5 years of public accounting experience
• Proven experience in IT governance, compliance, security and service delivery
• Very strong understanding of financial accounting, general IT and application controls, and development environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit management tools
