ABOUT THE ROLE

An advisory firm is seeking an IT Audit & SOX Manager to manage engagements evaluating technology risks, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. This individual will help clients strengthen their audit functions and improve controls supporting reliable financial reporting.

The Manager will oversee project planning, budgets, execution, and client communication while coaching engagement teams. The role also involves using analytics and emerging technologies to improve audit delivery across a range of industries.




RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage IT audit, SOX, and internal controls engagements.
  • Assess technology controls and compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend practical improvements.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop risk-based audit plans aligned with client priorities.
  • Use analytics and visualization to communicate audit findings.
  • Support internal audit function development and transformation.
  • Manage delivery within co-sourced and outsourced audit arrangements.
  • Coach team members and oversee engagement performance.
  • Resolve engagement issues and maintain professional and independence standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor s degree required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in IT audit and technology controls.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and compliance auditing.
  • Ability to assess risks and identify control weaknesses.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Project management and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and communicate findings.
  • Experience coaching staff and supporting team performance.
  • Interest in applying analytics, AI, and other technologies to audit processes.
  • Academic background in accounting, finance, information systems, analytics, or a related discipline preferred.
