Role: Sr. Java BackEnd Developer
Location: Richfield, MN
Pay- $60-70/hr

Introduction

The Marketplace Shopping team is responsible for the pre-purchase experience of Marketplace customers, including product discovery, hierarchy, catalog management, product ranking, fulfillment options for Marketplace products, and the overall shopping experience. The team builds and evolves services that power the pre-purchase experience for Marketplace products. This includes product catalog and hierarchy management, product ranking and re-ranking, Marketplace fulfillment options, and other services that help customers evaluate and select products. The engineer will work on highly scalable, distributed backend systems and will have opportunities to drive technical design and architecture for critical Marketplace capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Java - 10+ years of experience.
• Spring Boot - 10+ years.
• Microservices - 10+ years.
• Kafka - 3+ years of experience.
• GCP & BigQuery - 3-5 years of experience.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Marketplace / e-commerce Retail experience.
• Spring Cache.
• Performance optimization.
• Experience owning large-scale production systems.
• Experience working with highly scalable distributed systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable backend services for the Marketplace Shopping platform.
• Take ownership of complex technical problems and make sound architectural decisions.
• Participate in design discussions and drive solutions from design through implementation and production.
