Position: IT Business Analyst
Salary: $90,000 - 110,000

Overview of the IT Business Analyst Position:


The IT Business Analyst serves as a strategic partner between business stakeholders and IT, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process optimization, reporting, automation, and technology. This newly created position will work closely with leadership across Sales, Parts, Service, Finance, and eCommerce to analyze business processes, improve data management, and lead initiatives that drive measurable business value. The role will also play a key part in future ERP/DMS initiatives and other enterprise-wide technology projects.


Responsibilities of the IT Business Analyst:



  • Partner with business leaders to understand workflows, reporting needs, and operational challenges across multiple departments.

  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.

  • Design and improve reporting capabilities using data from ERP/DMS and other business systems.

  • Lead business analysis efforts for enterprise projects, including potential ERP/DMS migrations and implementations.

  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations, Sales, Parts, Service, and eCommerce teams to deliver technology-driven solutions.

  • Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for technical teams.

  • Develop process documentation, workflows, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft ecosystem tools to analyze large datasets and create actionable reports.

  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot and other AI-powered tools to improve documentation, reporting, and productivity.

  • Serve as the liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout project lifecycles.


Preferred Experience of the IT Business Analyst:



  • 3+ years of Business Analyst experience.

  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise systems.

  • Demonstrated project management experience with business systems or process improvement initiatives.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, formulas, and macros.

  • Experience gathering business requirements and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership as well as operational teams.

  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Copilot or similar AI productivity tools.


Bonus Experience of the IT Business Analyst:



  • Experience with Dealer Management Systems (CDK, Procede, or similar).

  • Background within trucking, automotive, dealership, or commercial vehicle industries.

  • eCommerce or digital commerce experience.

  • Experience supporting ERP or DMS selection, migration, or implementation projects.

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
