IT - Client Server Analyst - Advanced Level (Terraform Infrastructure Engineer)
Location: Onsite, Monday - Friday | Houston, TX
Contract: 12+ months
About the Role
Join a dynamic enterprise IT team as a Terraform Infrastructure Engineer, supporting a mission-critical, large-scale Azure environment. Your expertise will drive automation, infrastructure reliability, and security as you enhance and modernize our enterprise platform through Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Responsibilities
- Update, troubleshoot, and optimize Terraform codebases for enterprise platforms
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules to standardize deployments
- Manage Terraform state, deployment workflows, and CI/CD integration
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Administer Azure-based virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity services
- Implement and maintain robust RBAC and security controls
- Support disaster recovery and high-availability strategies within Azure
- Identify and execute Azure cost optimization initiatives
- Collaborate on platform upgrades, modernization, and lifecycle management
- Support SQL Server infrastructure in partnership with database administrators
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on Terraform and Azure administration in enterprise environments
- Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and best practices
- Proven experience with large Terraform codebases, modules, and state management
- Proficiency in CI/CD toolchains (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), automated deployments, and Git workflows
- Advanced understanding of Azure networking, VMs, storage, NSGs, load balancers, IAM, RBAC, disaster recovery, and governance
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and cross-team collaboration skills
- Experience with version control and formal change management
Preferred Skills
- ArcGIS Enterprise platform support
- Administration of Azure environments in regulated or disconnected networks
- Large-scale SQL Server infrastructure support
- Cloud security implementation
- High-availability and disaster recovery architecture
- Experience with Agile methodologies
