Job Description

Job Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities
  • Devises solutions in accordance with an implementation budget.
  • Coordinates system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing.
  • Oversees all transitions of new systems to production.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the professional use of AI tools to improve efficiency, support technical problem-solving and enhance documentation while validating outputs and protecting sensitive information.
  • Develops and completes actions in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplines.
  • Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
  • Manages and documents system configurations.
  • Evaluates current systems.
  • Serves as a technical liaison to the manufacturers’ technical and service personnel regarding purchased or leased hardware and software.
  • Monitors the technology (HW, SW, network) and responds to alerts.
  • Resolves all outages and performance issues.
  • Escalates issues with vendors including carriers, manufacturers and service providers.
  • Mentors junior members of the team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required and Desired Skills
  • Strong coordination, organization, teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively present technical information
  • Ability to work effectively in individual or group settings
  • Ability to work as part of an on-call rotation schedule
  • Expertise in VMware virtualization, including Horizon View
  • Expertise in Netapp enterprise storage
  • Expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows servers
  • Expertise in Apache and IIS Webserver
  • Experience in installation, configuration, and management of Linux operating systems
  • Detailed understanding of Storage Area Network implementations
  • Detailed understanding of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol networking
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit
  • Ability to effectively communicate; speaking, reading, understanding, writing and hearing clear English; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location
  • Ability to work inside an office
  • Ability to perform highly repetitive motions with fingers, hands, wrists, and shoulders
  • Ability to work alone, work with others, and interact with the public
  • Ability to perform under deadline pressure
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
  • Ability to work with a dispersed team in a remote environment
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree requiredin computer science or information systems or relevant equivalent experience
Certifications
  • None
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of IT support experience at the enterprise level
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in information technology (IT) support
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working within the deployment and operation of enterprise-level hardware, software, apps, or networks
