IT Field Support Specialist

CenCore is seeking an IT Field Support Specialist to provide on-site and remote support for computer, communications, and teleconferencing systems in a cleared government environment at Fort Meade, Maryland. This role supports mission continuity by assessing site needs, configuring and installing hardware, maintaining communications infrastructure, and resolving technical issues. The specialist will also document service activities and train site personnel in accordance with organizational, DoD/DoW, and security requirements. The position requires an active Top Secret clearance with Polygraph and hands-on experience supporting end-user technology. Key Responsibilities Conduct site surveys to document existing configurations, user requirements, and installation needs.Install, configure, test, and support computer workstations, printers, peripherals, communications devices, teleconferencing equipment, and associated cabling.Troubleshoot and repair hardware, communications devices, and peripheral systems for on-site and remote users.Maintain fiber-optic, Ethernet, and telephone systems provided by the government or vendors.Analyze technical requirements and prepare hardware acquisition specifications.Develop and coordinate hardware installation schedules.Prepare site installation documentation and configuration-change drawings.Support Active Directory security settings and policies as directed.Train site personnel on the proper use of supported hardware and equipment.Document service activities in accordance with organizational and security requirements.
