    Job Description
    The IT Infrastructure Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day support and maintenance of Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs) and Main Distribution Frames (MDFs). This role ensures IT spaces are secure, organized, and operationally ready by maintaining cabling, power, cooling, physical security, and infrastructure documentation. The position also supports remediation projects, equipment lifecycle management, and compliance with organizational standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain and support IDF/MDF environments, including cabling, power, cooling, and physical security.
    • Conduct routine inspections to ensure IT spaces meet operational and compliance standards.
    • Coordinate remediation projects and infrastructure improvements with Facilities, Engineering, Security, and other teams.
    • Manage cable plant standards, network patching best practices, and infrastructure documentation, including rack elevations.
    • Support equipment decommissioning, network port optimization, and IT room organization.
    • Track operational and project activities using ServiceNow, SharePoint, and related tools.

    Qualifications

    • Experience supporting IT infrastructure environments, including IDFs/MDFs.
    • Knowledge of low-voltage cabling, power, cooling, and physical security systems.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Experience with ServiceNow preferred.
    • Familiarity with Cisco network switches and Vertiv UPS systems.
    • Healthcare IT infrastructure experience preferred.
