IT Project Coordinator – Capital ProjectsThe IT Project Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and delivery of technology-related initiatives within the Capital Construction Group. This position coordinates project activities involving IT infrastructure, telecommunications, security systems, network deployments, software implementations, and technology integration associated with construction and renovation projects. The coordinator works closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and business stakeholders to ensure project objectives, schedules, budgets, and compliance requirements are achieved.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject CoordinationAssist Project Managers in planning, tracking, and coordinating IT-related construction projects.Maintain project schedules, milestones, risk logs, issue logs, and status reports.Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and track action items.Monitor project deliverables and ensure adherence to established timelines.Support project documentation, including project charters, scope statements, and implementation plans.Technology IntegrationCoordinate deployment of IT infrastructure supporting construction projects, including:Network and telecommunications systemsStructured cablingWireless systemsAudio/visual technologiesPhysical security systemsAccess control systemsVideo surveillance systemsUpdate comments on technology design reviews and construction coordination activities.Ensure technology requirements are incorporated into project plans and construction schedules.Stakeholder ManagementServe as a liaison between IT, Capital Programs, Engineering, Operations, contractors, consultants, and vendors.Coordinate communication among project stakeholders regarding schedules, outages, testing, and implementation activities.Facilitate resolution of project issues and escalate concerns as appropriate.Vendor and Contract SupportAssist in coordinating vendor activities and monitoring contractor performance.Track procurement activities, purchase orders, contracts, and project expenditures.Support invoice review and project budget reconciliation.Ensure vendors comply with organizational standards and project requirements.Reporting and CompliancePrepare project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.Track project metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).Maintain project records in accordance with organizational policies.Support compliance with construction, safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.Testing and ImplementationCoordinate system testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities.Assist with cutover planning and implementation scheduling.Support transition of completed systems to operations and support teams.Verify completion of project documentation and training requirements.Required QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.ExperienceThree (3) to five (5) years of experience coordinating IT projects, technology deployments, construction projects, or related initiatives. Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of project management principles and methodologies.Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, telecommunications, and security systems.Familiarity with construction project environments and capital improvement programs.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and project management software.Preferred QualificationsProject Management Professional (PMP), CAPM, or equivalent certification.Experience supporting large-scale capital construction programs.Knowledge of airport, transportation, municipal, or public-sector environments.Experience with cybersecurity requirements for infrastructure projects.Familiarity with CAD drawings, construction schedules, and commissioning processes.Working ConditionsCombination of office and construction site environments.Occasional visits to active construction areas requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).May require after-hours support during system cutovers, testing, and project implementations.Location RequirementsCandidate must be local or willing to commute or relocate. - Candidate Must Be LocalAdditional Location Details (City, State) : - This position will be hybrid with required mandatory meetings and onsite walk throughs and vendor meetings as scheduled and required. Hybrid is not guaranteed for specific days nor times. The person needs to be flexible and available.
